Pappas Miron Design: The True Intention of Living Well

Pappas Miron Design is a full-service interior design firm based in Manhattan which has been included on Elle Decor’s A-List in 2023. Its founders, Alexandra Pappas and Tatyana Miron Ahlers strive to create timeless interiors that are modern and sophisticated, yet relaxed and livable. Threaded through each project is a unique perspective that reflects a love of rich colors, unique textiles, a mix of traditional and modern elements and one-of-a-kind custom furnishings.

For Pappas and Miron, the client-designer relationship is very personal, starting with the initial consultation and continuing through the final installation. Both partners work in tandem to bring a distinct but complementary point of view. From commission to conception, Pappas Miron works with the client to consider their lifestyle and future needs—delivering an environment with the intention of living well.

Before founding the firm in 2003, Alexandra graduated from the University of Pennsylvania with a degree in art history. She worked in real estate development for her family’s Boston-based business and then at Verdura Fine Jewelry in their PR and Events department. At Verdura, Alexandra developed a love of whimsical design, bold color combinations and an appreciation for artisans, craftsmanship and the highest level of customer service.

Tatyana graduated with a degree in art history and architecture from Tufts University and an Associates degree from the New York School of Interior Design. She worked in the offices of acclaimed New York-based designers Eric Cohler and Tori Golub exposing her to a range of interior design styles and practices. The two have been friends since childhood.
